Your primary duties will include receiving, stocking, tracking, and organizing cannabis products to ensure smooth and compliant daily operations.
You will work closely with the inventory team, purchasing managers, and retail staff to maintain accurate inventory levels and provide support during audits.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with cannabis products and regulations are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect deliveries of cannabis products, verifying quantities and quality against purchase orders and invoices.
Accurately record all received products in the inventory management system, assigning appropriate product codes and shelf locations.
Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cannabis products, ensuring proper rotation and efficient retrieval.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations to identify discrepancies or shortages, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with purchasing managers to ensure stock levels are continuously maintained, placing orders for additional products as needed.
Assist in monitoring expiration dates and shelf life of cannabis products, ensuring adequate stock rotation to maintain product freshness and compliance.
Collaborate with retail staff to fulfill product requests promptly and accurately, maintaining detailed records of products transferred to the sales floor.
Assist with regular audits and inspections by regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations.
Provide support in identifying and implementing inventory control processes optimizing stock management procedures to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with cannabis product knowledge, market trends, and regulatory requirements to effectively communicate and educate team members and customers.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in inventory management or related field is a plus.
Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk, preferably in a cannabis retail environment.
Familiarity with local cannabis regulations and best practices for inventory management.
Proficient in using inventory management software and computer systems for recording and tracking stock.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting and recording inventory data.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.
Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding role.
