Job Description:
Instinctive Metals is looking for a Commercial Metal Roof & Wall Estimator that will be responsible for bidding, selling, and managing projects.
This position will be expected to prepare accurate and timely estimates for potential jobs based on expertise, develop and maintain strategic relationships, and manage projects for customer satisfaction, profitability, and future process improvements.
Responsibilities:
Capturing accurate scope of work Read and organize information from specifications, addendums, bidder instructions, front end documents and schedule into the Estimating Workbook Review architectural plans for scope(s) Quantify all relevant scope in Bluebeam Collaborate with operations team to review plans/specifications Supply Chain Coordination Work with supplier to request and obtain well documented material quotes Work with supplier for material installation guides, material usage, manufacturer warranties and requirements Maintain up to date supplier Price Lists Search and find new products coming forward in the marketplace Estimating Create a detailed financial breakdown of each scope including labor and material Ensure accuracy of material and labor costs Ensure estimates are grounded in past history and grounded interpretations of the future Creating Proposals Qualify customer needs through multiple customer sources to gain insight needed to design a compelling offer that can be valued and not just priced o Complete final offer with accurate proposal that addresses both fundamental and specific concerns Submit complete packages to Sales and support detailed design reviews over time during preconstruction Document all communications in Salesforce Capture lessons learned from customers and modifying bid/proposal processes to improve Salary is commensurate with experience.
