Material Control Analyst

POSITION
Summary:
Penske Logistics is looking for Material Control Analysts to become part of an excellent team.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who are self-motivated, with strong analytical and computer skills, customer-centric, and safety conscious.
This position coordinates all processes and functions of a department and provides visibility to management by tracking, process over-sight, auditing, researching and troubleshooting operational issues or functions.

Responsibilities:
oUse computer to enter records and generate reports oWeigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards (as applicable) oRead work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments oComplete daily logs oProactively seeks opportunities to improve customer's inventory and material flow processes oWork with customer to resolve stock shortages oIdentify cost savings opportunities for the customer oTrack shipments to ensure shipment deadlines are met.
oWork with suppliers to correct part/shipment issues oFollow daily parts control function, including track and trace, production schedule analysis, and exception management oFollow processes that are set by engineering and assist with the implementation of any process and transportation design changes oProvide parts follow up ensuring optimal material flow oHandle reoccurring analysis and tasks driving continuous cost savings initiatives oExamine current processes and implement or recommend improvements to drive out waste oMeet customer deadlines and develop metrics dashboards that highlight customer specific analytics oUse discretion and independent judgment to answer customer requests and propose solutions oDevelop and assist with presenting customer analytics, key trends and solution proposals during customer QBR's oOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
o1-3 years inventory/auditing/transportation experience preferred.
oHigh school diploma or equivalent required oSome college, preferred oFundamental understanding of transportation, supply chain and logistics concepts oStrong problem solving and time management skills required oStrong verbal and written communication skills oAbility to work independently and multi task oAbility to follows process and standard procedures oExperience analyzing large sets of data oAdvanced computer skills including Excel and Outlook required oMust also be able to learn and regularly operate multiple company and customer owned Warehouse Management System (WMS) platforms oRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job oWillingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
