We are currently searching for a HR Manager based in Wayne, MI to provide human resources support to both the Unistrut International plant in Wayne, MI and the North American Metal Framing business located in Harvey, IL. The position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources for Mechanical Products & Solutions.
The primary focus will be to guide and manage the human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring, employee counseling, and labor relations along with related audits, investigations, training, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will desire to be a business partner with their local Director of Operations and plant staff in addition to the Vice President & General Manager of the North American Metal Framing business in Harvey, IL.
Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Drive Engagement and Alignment initiatives locally
Directs employment activities assuring the timely placement of qualified employees in salaried, hourly and temporary positions.
Develops programs, policies, procedures and controls regarding employment and analyzes turnover and related statistics.
Lead the talent management and performance management related activities
Responsible for workforce planning
Develops, delivers and supervises training programs; coordinates leadership forums and supervises new employee orientation program.
Conducts research into personnel programs, policies and activities and employment law and recommends strategies, changes or innovations where appropriate.
Maintains necessary records
Prepares and issues manuals and other documents establishing personnel policies and interprets such policies for staff, supervisors and associates and manage labor contract and labor relations in union plant
Ensures compliance with employment related laws (EEO, OSHA, FLSA, ADAAA, FMLA, etc.).
Represents Company on all related employment litigation.
Supervises employee welfare plans such as retirement, life insurance, leaves of absence, disability benefits and other associate safety, health and wellness services.
Administers wage and salary policies while ensuring competitive rates of pay and competitive benefits.
Involved with day-to-day employee and labor relations including interest based problem solving, counseling and coaching, fact-finding, etc.
Provides support other duties and projects either locally driven or from Corporate

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's preferred
Required 5 of more years of progressive HR experience in a variety of HR roles including experience with responsibility for managing a labor contract

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
