Summary:
Under general supervisory direction and the general supervision of a licensed physical therapist, provides medically prescribed physical therapy services to mentally and/or physically impaired patients once the therapist has completed a patient's initial assessment. This includes, treatment program implementation and approved modification, discharge planning, related documentation and communication. Reports observations and patient's progress to the therapist. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance; facilitates the learning of those skills to promote functional independence according to the principles and practices of Physical Therapy.
Job Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Experience: Successful completion of clinical internshipsLicensure: State of Michigan Physical Therapist Assistant Limited License, BLS
